This article is devoted to the main trends in the development of electronic document management in transport logistics, the prospects for its implementation, as well as the development of interoperability. The purpose of the article is a general analysis and comparison of the efficiency of electronic document management and paper document management. The article gives a generalized description of the system operation, describes the main advantages and promising aspects of development. It tells about the theoretical and mathematical models for calculating the efficiency of using the electronic document management system and the problems that arose during the work, ways to solve them are described. Experience in domestic and foreign companies is explored. The results obtained showed high rationality of using electronic document management. Thus, in conclusion, the author comes to the conclusion that in the future the entire transport document flow will be transferred to an electronic format.
