There is 483,9 hectares of protection forest, including 133,2 hectares shelterbelt plantings in Central Black Earth region. In all types of soil we can notice decreasing of growth energy in height and diameter for balsam poplar, silver birch, pedunculate oak, european ash and green ash at age 10 - 24. In middle-age plantations we can notice height increase of 6,1 - 16,7% of the middle row in comparison with the outermost rows and also we can notice diameter decrease of 5,1 - 20,4% of the middle row in comparison with the outermost rows. We must create field-protection plantations at distance not more than 550 meters in forest steppe conditions, and at distance not more than 450 meters in steppe conditions.

Задачей лесомелиорации аграрных территорий является формирование и совершенствование ландшафтов как высоко продуктивных, биологически устойчивых и саморегулирующихся систем, способных противопоставить разрушению почвы, снижению ее плодородия, химическому её загрязнению, оптимизированную в структуру угодий, рационально организованную систему использования земель [1].
