The author considers the possibility of solving the problems of strategic management of the tourist and recreation complex as a complicated socio-economic system, by developing a mobile application for collecting and analyzing certain relevant data required for management. The structure of the mobile application project is proposed, consisting of modules for providing users with a colour level map of the “social efficiency” of infrastructure and tourist and recreation objects of the area, general reference information about the tourist and recreation complex infrastructure, forming a tourist route, determining the user’s location on the area map, and others. The main difficulties of collecting relevant and reliable information, which is supposed to be received and processed using a mobile application, are highlighted. The key tasks that are supposed to be solved in the framework of subsequent studies are formed.
