The relevance of this research topic is due to the increasing need to modify the fuel system of ships in connection with the tightening of the rules of the International Convention for the Prevention of Pollution from Ships, which sets limits on the release of harmful substances into the sea in areas of emission control. The task of any shipping company is not only the formation of organizational mechanisms to ensure its effective functioning on the basis of modem management concepts, but also the observance of the rules of all the established conventions and codes, including those related to the environment, in order to avoid inconsistencies with standards and reduce competitive positions in the global freight market.
