The article proposes the structure of a laser-optical measuring device for longitudinal, transverse and vertical displacements of a moving object relative to a stationary base. The measuring device includes a high-precision laser range finder, a monocular camera and a microcomputer for primary processing of the measured data. The laser-optical measuring device solves the following tasks: measuring the distance to the object using a laser range finder, which allows you to track the magnitude of the transverse displacement; receiving a video stream from the camera; calculation of the longitudinal and vertical displacement of a moving object by processing data using computer vision methods. The measuring device is proposed to be used as part of the technical equipment for unmanned navigation of large vessels during mooring operations. Two measuring device installed at some distance from each other will allow to unambiguously determine the position of the ship hull relative to the berth. As a result, measurement accuracy will be improved by using two data sets. Independent measurements of the motion parameters of the vessel relative to the berth for the bow and stem will determine the type of movement: displacement or rotation.
