The relevance of studying the methodological aspect in the theoretical and applied knowledge of the problems of operational investigative activity is due to the need to improve the scientific support of the practice of operational work, the implementation of conceptual provisions aimed at improving its effectiveness, as well as scientific and technical development. It is necessary to improve the quality of dissertation research in the field of operational investigative science within the integrated specialty 5.1.4 Criminal law sciences. In this regard, an adequate correction of the promising topics and content of scientific papers in the direction of their practical relevance is required. The basic methods of scientific research recommended for a фcomprehensive study of scientific tasks and problems in the field of operational investigative activities and means of its support are revealed. The conclusion is substantiated that the methods of scientific cognition in the preparation of dissertations and other scientific papers should be studied and declared by applicants not formally, but be tied directly to the subject of research, used to obtain scientific results, substantiate their novelty, reliability and significance.
