The problem of Juniperus sibirica seed low germination, the reasons and possible alternative to traditional stratification are considered in the article. The zygotic germ development stages are described, their cytology on constant preparations is studied, the dependence of zygotic germ development stages on galberries (cones) harvesting terms in natural and artificial populations is shown.
