The issues of engineering student training in the production informatization context in connection with higher and secondary education reforming are considered in the article. The comparative analysis of annual entrance testing results is provided. The authors consider the possibilities of engineering education problem solution based on the level of school preparation and motivation of applicants entering the higher educational institutions on technical specialties.
