Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
In the article the author focuses on the main directions of development of the theory of federalism and considers the views of such nationalists as I. Althusius, Sh. Montesquieu, J. Bodin, etc. Along with this, the author analyzes specific features of federalistic ideas’ development in Russia in the 19th century and shows the process of the Russian Federation’s formation that began at the 3rd All-Russian Congress of Soviets on January 25, 1918.
