The article considers the attacks aimed at individual freedom and stand with them related offenses; examines approaches to the concept of typology and is determined by the need to separate the aggregate study on the types of crimes; based on analysis of the investigative and judicial practices highlighted types of criminal attacks on the freedom of the individual; analyzes the features characteristic of the main type of criminal encroachments on the freedom of the individual; we justify the offenses related to the optional type; It offers options for organizing the criminal legislation of criminal encroachments additional facility which serves personal freedom; explores features that characterize an optional type of crime on the freedom of the individual; allocated offenses included in the adjacent type of crime under investigation; considered essential signs characterizing it as a separate type of crime analyzed; the conclusion of a framework of criminal encroachments on the freedom of the individual, of a plurality of the crimes included in the main, optional and adjacent study type of crime; specifies the selected connection types and their relation to each other.
