The article deals with the certain objective and subjective features of corpus delicti provided by articles 174, 174.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (money laundering or legalization of other property gained illegally). The substantive characteristics of the object (notion) and short description of legally provided types of subject (tangible object) of the mentioned crimes are examined. The author pays attention to features of objective component of crime, in particular, the content of the appropriate alternative acts (financial operations, other transactions). Moreover, the author demonstrates the most typical moments of legalization (laundering) fulfillment depending on the forms of alternative acts. The author indicates theoretical discussable issues related to the subject of the main and especially qualified corpus delicti as well as complicity in a crime. The aim to make «a legal form» to ownership, management and disposal of money and illegal property as well as deliberate information to gain them illegally are discussed in the article. Distinction among legalization (laundering) and other analogical crimes is made.
