Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article is discussed the possibilities of using software products and search systems for solving problems of the recognition of unknown persons and objects with help of the "Internet" network. Based on the results of an experimental study of various samples of person’s and object’s images, the authors analyzed the real possibilities of searching the Internet for that images with the help of the software and applications. Also the results of searching for "incomplete images" which contain a limited amount of information about the elements of appearance and the signs captured on the pictures of the inspected objects. The possibilities of searching for persons with a changed appearance with the help of makeup are established. The possibilities of identifying persons by their images are examined, specific advantages and disadvantages of different search systems are determined depending on the specific search situation. Based on the analysis of the functional capabilities of these software products and search systems, authors (вместо authors можно it is) concluded that it is necessary to used them comprehensively for solving the problems of criminology.
