The Service Sector labour force is seen as critical to and an integral part of the end product as well as a major source of competitive advantage. Team performance assessment is not to be seen as a trivial function of service sector HR management but as a strategic tool for efficiency improvement through setting performance standards/requirements and identifying ways to raise service quality, which is ultimately determined by the expertise and efficiency of the personnel.
