The article presents the significance of topical corticosteroids and topical calcineurin inhibitors in modern medicine, reveals the mechanisms of their action at the cellular and system level, pathogenetic aspects and associated side effects. This paper provides an analytical assessment of publication activity on both groups of drugs using Russian-language and foreign resources in the period from 2019 to 2024. A gradual increase in the number of publications mentioning topical calcineurin inhibitors and a slow decrease in the number of articles mentioning topical glucocorticoids are traced.
