Environmental safety in agriculture is an important aspect of sustainable development, which includes environmental protection, conservation of biological diversity and ensuring food security. Agriculture, being the main source of food for the population, faces many environmental risks, such as soil and water pollution, loss of land fertility, the use of pesticides and fertilizers, as well as climate change. These factors can negatively affect both ecosystems and human health. In the context of global climate change and a growing population, the need for environmentally sound farming methods is becoming especially urgent. It is important to consider the existing risks and develop strategies to minimize them, which will ensure the sustainable development of the agricultural sector and environmental protection. One of the key directions in ensuring environmental safety in agriculture is the introduction of sustainable agricultural technologies. This includes the use of crop rotation, organic farming and integrated plant protection systems that minimize the use of chemicals and promote the restoration of natural resources. In addition, an important aspect is the rational use of water resources. The introduction of modern irrigation systems and water management methods will help prevent their depletion and pollution. Effective waste management, including recycling and reuse, also plays a significant role in reducing negative environmental impacts. Education and awareness-raising among farmers and agronomists about the principles of environmentally sound farming contribute to a more responsible approach to the use of natural resources. Government support, including subsidies and programs for the development of sustainable practices, can be an additional incentive for the transition to more environmentally friendly practices. Ultimately, the integration of environmental aspects into agricultural policy and practice will not only preserve natural resources, but also ensure food security for future generations, creating a harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
