ABSTRACT

The relevance of the research topic is due to the importance of systemically important banks in ensuring the stability of the national banking system. In the banking sector of the Russian Federation, the processes of concentration and centralization of banking activities in the hands of the largest credit institutions are intensifying. In modern conditions, they account for the lion's share of assets and capital of the banking sector of the Russian Federation. Accordingly, the development of all other sectors of the national economy depends on the stability of the country's largest banks. The article analyzes the dynamics and structure of assets of systemically important banks. It is concluded that systemically important credit institutions act as a driver of economic growth, providing the main credit injections into the development and expansion of entrepreneurial activity.
