At the present time there is no doubt the fact that for sufficiently large values of electric and magnetic fields manifest nonlinear effects in electrodynamics. Thus, it makes sense at the classical level to build the nonlinear model of electrodynamics. Examples of such theories are electrodynamics born—Infeld and Heisenberg—Euler. In the framework of the post-Maxwell formalism, these models can be combined into one.In the present work, the post-Maxwell formalism is used to address the sources of superstrong magnetic fields of pulsars, magnetars, — near which the nonlinear electrodynamics effects can be significant. Taking into account the gravitational effects, we compute the effective metric near the star, as well as the tensor of energy-momentum in Cartesian coordinates. The results can be of interest for astrophysical applications.
