Investigated the condition under which the useful signal modulation of surface spin wave, is not distorted, and its distribution in the ferrite film can be described through the concept of group velocity. It is shown that the greater the ratio of the first and second derivatives of the dispersion dependence of spin waves, the greater the distance that can pass this signal with virtually no distortion. It is found that for surface spin waves the best conditions for the transmission of the useful signal are implemented for a small region of the wave numbers in the initial part of the wave spectrum, where the specified distance may be several millimeters.
