The use of low-temperature plasma is increasingly used in technological processes. Wider use of low-temperature plasma parameters has found application in water purification from polluting components. The paper analyzed the methods of water purification with the use of laminotomy discharges occurring at atmospheric pressure, a temperature of 10–30 ° C, at high humidity, discharge gaps of a few centimeters, which have a low energy consumption for cleaning and disinfection of wastewater. The results of destruction of inorganic and organic inclusions in water using electric discharge technologies are presented. Shows the impact of physico-chemical and electric factors of low-temperature plasma laminotomy discharges and determined that a complex effect of discharge phenomena in electric fields with space-charge-radiations at different frequencies, the formation of the active particles and molecules that lead to the destruction of organic and inorganic substances present in water. The use of low-temperature plasma with changes in the chemical characteristics of the gas components over the treated water, changes its ionic composition, the structure of dissolved substances, affects the viability of microorganisms present in the water without additional chemical reagents and is a promising direction for the development of water treatment technology and neutralization of industrial, sewage and polluted waters.
