The article analyzes methods for strengthening the surface layer of machine parts, and considers the method of electric spark doping (EIL). An experimental study was conducted; the dependences of the chemical composition of the coating, roughness, and microhardness on the frequency of vibration of the electrode and voltage modes were obtained.
