Abstract (English):
At present, the length of power transmission lines (PTL) in the Russian Federation with reinforced concrete poles is about 90% of the total length of transmission lines and in the near future the number of reinforced concrete poles will not decrease. Annually in the Russian Federation, about 10 million power transmission poles are installed and changed, incl. in the Siberian Federal District about 4 million pieces. Moreover, in most developed countries with a large length of power lines, as well as in the north of Russia, power line poles are made of coniferous wood. Industrial stocks of such wood are decreasing every year, and the development of new stocks requires additional capital expenditures. Considering the above, there is reason to believe that these regions may become the main target niche of power transmission line poles made of modified wood. The basis of coniferous trees in the Russian Federation are: pine, spruce, larch, fir and cedar. Birch, although in some characteristics it is close to hard deciduous species, is not customary to refer to them. Of all the listed conifers, pine is the most common in the Central Federal District.
