the problems of preserving and developing local work remain among the most important tasks of improving the operational work of railway transport. On the local lines adjacent to the Kamennogorsk station, loading is carried out by quarries where granite crushed stone of various fractions is produced. Trains were formed at Vyborg station, from where they were sent to their destination. The development of high-speed passenger traffic on the Petersburg-Vyborg-Helsinki railway line led to the transfer of freight traffic to the Rasulsky (Sosnovsky) course, which required two corner arrivals of trains performing local work. To solve this problem , a new Losevo – Kamennogorsk line was built . In the course of an experimental study to optimize local work according to the classical concept (paradigm) of operational work, we analyzed the schedules of completed traffic on the sections adjacent to and, in fact, forming the Kamennogorsk regional junction and a sample of full-scale sheets of the DU-1 form of freight trains that followed the new line through Losevo. As a result of the study of the dynamics of local car traffic, it is proposed to carry out the formation of export and transfer trains at the new Kamennogorsk I station by appointment to the Volkhovstroy, Ruchi or Kushelevka technical stations
