To date, the issue of traction calculations, including the determination of energy-efficient operating modes, has been sufficiently fully worked out. Also, modern onboard systems of locomotives register a large amount of information about their technical condition. However, this information is not taken into account in traction calculations, which reduces their reliability. The work is devoted to the methodology of solving this problem. The work uses statistical information processing of onboard microprocessor control systems for locomotives. Calculations have shown that the traction characteristics of locomotives can differ by 20% from their nominal values.
