In the field, 39 alfalfa samples were studied from the collection of the VIC named after V. R. Williams. The results of studies and observations on the grass stand of the fourth and fifth years of life on the chemical composition, economically valuable and morphological characteristics are given. Statistical processing of the results showed mainly a high level of variation in indicators. The five best samples for the combination of features are highlighted. Several reliable positive and negative correlation relationships have been identified that can be used in the selection of promising forms.
