Requirements to the articles

Submitted work should be original, has not been published elsewhere and corresponding to subject-matter of the Journal of Russian Law. Materials, submitted concurrently to two or more publications, are not reviewed, and relations with author are terminated.

Number of symbols in text of article should be 18 - 25 thousand, including word-spacing and footnotes. Pages should be numbered. Typeface is Times New Roman. Line spacing is 1,5. Font size for main text is 14, for footnotes - 11. Footnotes should be numbered page-by page, numbering is consecutive.

Abbreviations and reductions should be expanded at their first usage in text, and legal instruments should contain the date of adoption, number and full official name. Source of publication of normative acts should not be specified. Specification of source of citation, factual and numeric data is mandatory.

Work should be submitted as a single file and comply with the following structure.

  • 1. Metadata in Russian:
  • a) heading of article;
  • b) data on author (name and surname, current position, academic degree and rank);
  • c) legal address of organization-current employer of author;
  • d) e-mail;
  • e) annotation (author's summary) (200-250 words without regard to articles, prepositions and conjunctions);
  • f) keywords.
  • 2. Metadata in English.
  • 3. Text of article.
  • 4. Bibliographical list (bibliographical references should comply with GOST (State Standard) 7.0.5-2008).

 

Articles should be sent to an e-mail of the editorial office: jrp@norma-verlag.com (own surname and the word "article" to be specified in the subject matter of the letter).

Publication ethics

The Editorial Staff, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Russian Law in their activities are guided by the Ethical Guidelines to Publication of Research, designed on the basis of recommendations of the Committee on Publication Ethics, and demand from each party of publishing process to follow the mentioned Guidelines.

 

Ethical guidelines in author's activity

Author should guarantee that submitted work has not been published elsewhere and has not been submitted to any other publication. Materials, submitted concurrently to two or more publications, are not reviewed, and relations with author are terminated.

Author should adhere that submitted work has academic novelty. If author uses any publication in his research, appropriate bibliographical references should be used. Excessive adoption and plagiarism, definitely false statements are not acceptable.

Author should be responsible for the accuracy of information about co-authors, information about persons and funding sources of work, which results are described in article.

Author shall alert the editor promptly in case of discovery of a significant error or inaccuracy in article and cooperate with editors in issuing corrections.

 

Ethical guidelines in activity of the Editorial Staff, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief

The Editorial Staff, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Russian Law should take responsibility for publishing authors' materials.

The Editorial Staff, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief, guided by the policy of the Journal and not allowing plagiarism and violation of author's rights, assess manuscript based on its scholarly importance and the accuracy of data provided regardless of race, sex, sexual orientation, religious belief, nationality, citizenship and political opinions of author.

Final decision on publication of positive reviewed article is adopted by the Editorial Council.

Information, related to submitted manuscript, and unpublished data, specified in manuscript, should remain confidential and should not be used by any party of publishing process for personal advantage or transferred to third persons without written consent of author.

The Editorial Staff, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief should not overpass claims related to examined manuscript or published materials. In case of conflict situations the Editorial Staff, the Editorial Council and the Editor-in-Chief should take steppes for redress of violated rights of interested persons.

 

Ethical guidelines in Peer Reviewer's activity

Peer-review process in the Journal of Russian Law is anonymous (blind) and is carried out by experts in subject matter domain of manuscript submitted.

Peer reviewer, in an effort to maximum possible neutrality and avoiding of personal criticism of author, carried out academic review of manuscript provided by author.

Recommendations of peer reviewer are foundation for adoption of decision on suitability of article publication.

Information, related to submitted manuscript, and specified in manuscript unpublished data, should remain confidential and shall not be used by peer reviewer for personal advantage in any circumstances.

Peer reviewer should abandon peer review in case of his vested interest in results of peer review of submitted manuscript or lack, under his opinion, of sufficient competence for its academic examination.

 

Conflict of interests

Each party of publishing process should avoid occurrence of conflict of interests in any form and at any stage of editing. If conflict of interests occurs, all parties should take steppes for redress of violated rights of interested persons.

 

 

The order of publication of the articles

Article is subject to compulsory peer-review. Final decision on publication of positive reviewed article is adopted by the Editorial Council.

In case of positive decision on possibility of article publication the Editorial Staff send author an e-mail to specified electronic address. Before signing a contract author shall have a right to revoke article by notifying the Editorial Staff via e-mail. Contracts should be send by simple letter to the postal address of the editorial office: 101000, Moscow, Kolpachny pereulok, 9а, build. 1 (to specify - Legal Publishing House "Norma").

The Editorial Board shall have a right to modify a headline of article. The Editorial Staff inform author about that modification at the stage of conclusion of contract.

Article, approved to publication, is subject to edition and proof corrections. Alterations and reductions of manuscript of editorial character should not be approved by author. If actualization of manuscript or approval of conceptual editing is required author should be obliged to reply to the Editorial Staff in specified term.

Mission

Journal of Russian Law is issued since 1997 and holds strong positions in a number of leading legal publications in the country. The main objective of the Journal is to search the balanced solutions in the field of lawmaking, public administration, legal regulation, law enforcement practices as well as ensuring the succession of the fundamental scientific thoughts.

The general concept of the Journal is reflective of the nature, level and diversity of domestic doctrinal researches, the main trends of the development of separate branches of legislation, the Russian experience which served as the starting point for synthesizing new ideas and discoveries in the field of legal science.

The most of the materials also have the practical value because they contain detailed analysis of the legislative acts in a view of the recent development, and reveal their positive and negative sides. Such analysis allows the enforcers to diagnose risks and to determine the vectors of development of legal and other spheres of public activity.

An important area of Journal's activity is devoted to extension of the international readership, to increasing of the foreign specialists' interest to the Russian legal science. And it surely could help to consolidate the efforts of the scientific community in addressing the legal problems concerned with the processes of integration, globalization and effective cooperation of States.
