В работе представлены исследования по проявлению сейсмичности в районе расположения трех подземных хранилищ газа (далее - ПХГ), находящихся в юго-восточной части Восточно-Европейской платформы (европейская часть России). Представлены тектоническое строение данного района, геодинамические условия и технологическая характеристика «Западного», «Восточного», «Южного» ПХГ. Анализ ситуации с проявлением слабой сейсмичности в районе названных ПХГ позволяет сделать вывод о ее техногенном характере, что не отмечалось ранее на российских ПХГ. Наблюдается широкий перечень признаков, указывающих на связь режима эксплуатации ПХГ и цикличного характера проявления сейсмичности: до начала эксплуатации ПХГ техногенная сейсмичность в этом районе не была известна; имеется несомненная корреляция между режимом эксплуатации ПХГ и сейсмичностью; эпицентры сейсмических явлений расположены в зоне геодинамического влияния ПХГ, в регионе имеются разломы земной коры, испытавшие активизацию в позднекайнозойское время и реагирующие на сильные землетрясения соседних тектонических районов, что указывает на их предрасположенность к реактивации; изменение давления в пласте-коллекторе ПХГ достаточно для возбуждения сейсмичности. Отмечено явление возрастания сейсмической активности в период отбора газа, что объяснено эффектом разупрочнения вмещающего массива и последующим его толчкообразным деформированием при снижении давления газа в пласте-коллекторе. Несмотря на слабую сейсмичность, не представляющую угрозу для объектов обустройства ПХГ и прилегающих территорий, предлагается включать в состав комплексного геодинамического мониторинга на российских ПХГ наблюдения за сейсмичностью.
