TO THE QUESTION OF COMPETITIVENESS OF THE HIGHER EDUCATION IN RUSSIA

Abstract (English):
Research purpose: the analysis of the undertaken reform in education, studying of approaches of the Russian and foreign scientists to assessment of competitiveness of higher educational institutions for the purpose of identification of new mechanisms of activities of higher education institutions taking into account market and integration contexts of existence. Research methods: analysis and synthesis, comparison, group, disaggregation and generalization, historical and logical analysis. Results: a number of characteristics of functioning of the higher school in Russia is provided; the group of various tasks is carried out to a program system of priorities for the purpose of enhancement of system of the higher education. Scientific novelty: features of functioning of the higher school in Russia are marked out; determinants of competitiveness of educational institutions and its differentiated indicators are revealed. Practical importance: the analysis of the existing approaches of the Russian and foreign scientists to assessment of competitiveness allowed to group various indicators of activities of higher education institution and its structural divisions in 6 groups.
