The article discusses additional professional education of designers of sewing products at the university, current trends, the structure of continuing professional education, conducted a survey in the form of a survey in the K.G. Razumovsky Moscow State University of Technologies and Management (the First Cossack University), students of the 2nd year of study, specialty 44.03.02 - "Psychological and pedagogical education" and 29.03.05 "Designing of light industry products" about additional professional education, how they are ready to study throughout their lives and improve their qualifications, a comparison of the answers of different areas of training is given.
