The education system of the Russian Federation has a rich experience of working with gifted children. Currently, active work with this category of children is carried out in general education organizations and organizations of additional education. Specially created centers of federal and regional significance are becoming leaders in the concentration of knowledge and promising practices in working with gifted children. One of the leading centers is the Sirius Educational Center in Sochi. It implements regular educational and developmental programs for schoolchildren of the Russian Federation with different types of giftedness. The participation of children in such programs becomes an important starting point in their development and disclosure of potentials, provided that when a gifted child returns home, work with him will continue. Higher education has serious potentials in solving this problem. In Kostroma State University, the Multi-subject school for gifted schoolchildren "Vector of Development" has been operating for the sixth year, showing its effectiveness both from the point of view of objective results and from the point of view of subjective assessment by School participants and their parents.
