The necessity of considering the issue related to the study of the causes of inconsistency in the brak-ing process of a logging road train, depending on the course of the braking action of the drives of a logging car and trailer, is substantiated. The most commonly used brake drives in logging road trains are considered. The standards of the Russian Federation regulating the requirements for pneumatic brake drives of vehicles are analyzed. The main causes and consequences of inconsistency in the op-eration of the brake drive of a logging road train are described. A promising scheme of a recupera-tive coupling device installed in the frame of a logging vehicle is presented.
